What is included

Preview a local GLB without uploading the model

The demo begins with the forest, so the file picker is optional. Select your own .glb to replace the forest with a model preview. The model is read in the browser; this tool does not upload it to a server. Use Restore forest to return to the included scene.

If the file fails to load, first check whether it embeds its resources. This starter rejects external buffer and image URLs. Draco, Meshopt, KTX2 and animation playback are outside its scope.

Why keeping one Three.js version matters

The starter includes the core library and addons from the same 0.184.0 release. This avoids mixing a runtime CDN copy with differently versioned local dependencies. Run the files through a local HTTP server; opening the HTML file directly is not supported.

For a minimal load flow, read a selected File as an ArrayBuffer, check the GLB header and resources, then pass it to GLTFLoader.parseAsync. A parse call alone does not check the starter's resource policy. The included code performs that check first.

Before you buy

Who is it for?

Developers who want a small browser scene to inspect and adapt for a prototype or client project. It is a scene foundation, not a complete game engine, physics system or model repair service.

What do I need to run the source?

Python 3 or another local HTTP server, plus a current WebGL browser. For example, serve the extracted folder with python3 -m http.server 8000, then open localhost:8000.

Why is the file button in my browser's language?

It is a standard browser file picker. Its label follows your browser language; "No file chosen" simply means you have not selected an optional model. The forest works without one.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes. Adapt the original work in free or commercial games, websites and client projects. Do not resell it as a competing standalone template. Keep the included Three.js MIT license notice.

Which devices and models have been checked?

Desktop rendering and a simple GLB were checked. Safari, mobile devices and complex models remain unverified. Frame rate depends on your hardware and scene.

How do support and refunds work?

Leave reproducible steps and browser/OS details on the itch.io product page. Target response time is two business days. Unresolved access or advertised-function failures can be refunded through itch.io support. Do not send confidential models.

Try it, then decide

The browser demo is free. The $12 source package is hosted and sold on itch.io, where you can see the files, product details and payment options.
